Loop is designed to help you care for important relationships while keeping you in control of the information you choose to add.
Information you choose to provide
The app processes the information you choose to add, such as contact details, relationship notes, reminders, interaction history, and meeting records, only to provide its core features.
Contacts, microphone, and notifications
Access to your contacts is optional and is used only when you choose to import contact information into Loop. Microphone access is requested only when you choose to record an in-person meeting on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Notifications are also optional and are used to deliver reminders you request. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Meeting recordings and transcripts
A meeting recording starts only after you choose a recording device, take the action to begin, and grant the required microphone permission. You should record only with the consent of everyone involved and in accordance with applicable law.
Meeting audio is temporary and is processed with Apple technologies on your devices to create a transcript on your iPhone. Loop does not send meeting audio to Loop servers or third-party transcription services, synchronize it through iCloud, include it in exports, sell it, or use it for advertising. The temporary audio is removed after the transcript has been safely stored and verified. If recording, transfer, or transcription is interrupted, protected temporary audio may remain on your devices until processing can finish or you delete it.
The transcript, any meeting summary or highlights created by the feature, related metadata, and relationship links are the durable meeting record. Depending on your storage choice, they are kept on your device or synchronized through your private iCloud database.
Storage and Apple services
Your Loop information is stored on your device and, if you choose iCloud storage, synchronized through Apple's private CloudKit database for your account. It is not placed in a public CloudKit database. Apple services are governed by Apple's own privacy terms.
How your information is used
Information you add to Loop is used to organize your relationships, show timely follow-ups, create and display meeting transcripts, and support the features you choose to use. It is not sold or used for third-party advertising.
Website feedback
When you choose to send feedback through this website, Loop stores the category you select, your message, the submission date, and an email address only if you choose to provide one. This feedback is kept in the website's private database, separate from the people, meetings, and relationship information stored in the Loop app.
Feedback is used only to review your note, respond when requested, and improve Loop. It remains available in the private feedback inbox until it is deleted and may be marked as resolved for organization. It is not sold or used for advertising. Please do not include other people's contact details, recordings, transcripts, or other sensitive relationship information.
Retention and deletion
Relationship information and durable meeting records remain available until you remove them or delete the related content or account. Temporary meeting audio is retained only as long as needed to complete and verify the transcript, except when an interrupted process requires recovery or manual deletion. When iCloud storage is enabled, deletions are submitted for synchronization through Apple services and may not appear immediately on every device.
Your choices
You can review, update, export, or remove information in the app, including individual meeting records and transcripts. You can also revoke contacts, microphone, or notification permissions through your device settings. Revoking microphone access prevents new recordings but does not remove transcripts you previously chose to keep.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app or its privacy practices change. The latest version will always be available on this page with its effective date.
Contact
To share a product idea or report a problem, use the website's feedback form. For privacy questions, use the developer support contact listed on Loop's App Store page.
